Nazareth

AGAIN - NOTHING LIKE I IMAGINED. IT IS OBVIOUSLY CHANGED WITH THE TIMES AS EVERYWHERE ELSE. NOW IT IS A PLACE WHERE MOST TOURIST DO NOT WANT TO SPEND MUCH TIME. THE ROADS ARE HECTIC. CAR TRAVEL IS INSANE. SHOPS ARE TINY. THE BEST THING ABOUT VISITING NAZARETH IS GETTING OUT OF THERE!!!

IG in Israel: Megiddo

IG in Israel: Megiddo.
Decided on the place where it is said, the last battle on this earth will take place, as the first site to see in Israel. Revelation 16: 15-16 "Behold I come like a thief! Blessed is he who stays awake and keeps his clothes with him, so that he may not go naked and be shamefully exposed. Then they gathered the kings together to the place that in Hebrew is called Armageddon."

March 5, 2010. Woke up in Ashqelon to the sound of men shouting. My first thought was that a team was already out on the beach playing volleyball. No. These guys were swimming in the Mediterranean....naked. What a welcome to Israel!
(Steve assured me this is NOT normal, that it is NOT a nude beach, and that he's never seen - or been involved - in such activity since he's lived here. )

So, a bit later as we were deciding where to spend the day, as we read this verse in Revelation - it seemed appropriate to go to Megiddo ~ which in Hebrew is Armageddon.
